General Information
Thank You for purchasing a E / F Unit Ditchlight Jig Kit . For years it was such a challenge to line up holes with tape on the front of my F units to accquire that look of recessed ditchlights. With a-lot of research and time the design was made to build a small jig to put on the front of units. This design is strictly custom and solely made by Wallace Locomotive Works

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Step 1
Pull aside your dedicated unit to add ditchlights
Step 2
Place the Jig on the front of unit. The bottom piece with indentation should line right up with the buffer plate and essentially lock on
The top of the jig should fit just under the numberboard housings
The center should line up with the headlight housing
** PLEASE NOTE , THIS ONLY WORKS FOR UNITS THAT HAVE A FLAT NOSE. THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH A UNIT THAT HAS A NOSE HEADLIGHT ****
Step 3
Holding the 2 sides flush to body, This will keep the jig sturdy during drilling.
It is recomended to make a small starter hole with a hobby knife or smaller drill bit before using the recomended bit
Using a 5/32 drill bit of choice. Slowly drill the holes until it goes through the shell
Some filing ,sanding and or painting may be required before adding the ditchlights
** PLEASE NOTE , Our unit had old ditchlights added before the jig. Therefore ours looks alittle elongated ****
Step 4
Now take the included ditchlights and glue them from inside to the shell ( Please make sure you angle them right )
This item is not a toy, It is intended for ages 14+
